Presented on: 07/09/2024
Abstract

Dengue virus (DENV) belongs to the Flavivirus family and is mainly transmitted by mosquitoes from the Aedes species mainly found in Latin America, Central Africa, India, South, East Asia, some parts of the Pacific Islands, and some countries in Europe. The number of dengue cases in 2024 has reached a global record. Given this surge, it is crucial to understand the most effective tests for detecting acute or past infections.

Key learning objectives of this session include understanding the different types of assays for timely and accurate dengue detection. Participants will enhance their ability to address dengue virus in both clinical and public health settings.
