Tick-borne diseases (TBDs) have posed a public health threat due to the geographical expansion of their tick vectors. Powassan virus (POWV), a type of TBD, has seen an increase in reported cases in the United States and Canada over the past few years. This webinar highlights the incidence of TBDs in the United States in the last 10 years and provides insights into the importance of utilizing current diagnostic testing. Dr. Ciota’s presetnation focuses on POWV in an endemic state, while Dr. Wolf presents from a non-endemic state approach.
